Grow Climbing Beans ‘Buenos Aires’ (Phaseolus vulgaris), a vigorous pole-type green bean valued for its tender, flat pods and productive vertical growth. The green pods are generally straight to slightly curved, about 15–18 cm long and 2–2.5 cm wide, with a smooth, stringless eating quality when harvested young.
This annual climbing bean performs best in full sun with moderate watering and needs a trellis, netting, poles, or another vertical support. Direct sow into warm, well-drained soil and harvest pods regularly while young and tender to encourage continued production.
