How To Grow

To grow salad seeds (like lettuce, arugula, mustard greens, spinach, kale, swiss chard, endive, and cress), sow them ¼ inch deep in loose, fertile, well-draining soil made from garden soil, compost, and coco peat. Salad greens prefer cooler temperatures (15–22°C), making them ideal for Pakistan's winter season (September–February). Direct-sow into pots, grow bags, or beds with 4–8 inch spacing, water lightly, and keep in full sun or partial shade. Germination is fast — 5–10 days. Use the cut-and-come-again method by harvesting outer leaves first, allowing the plant to continue producing for 4–6 weeks. Succession-sow every 2 weeks for a continuous supply of fresh greens.
