Sow Soliman (Kashmiri Mirch) seeds 1/4 inch deep in moist seed-starting mix. Keep at 25–30°C for 10–21 days. Start indoors 8–10 weeks before transplanting. Transplant when seedlings have 5–7 true leaves and nights are above 15°C, spacing 18–24 inches. Soliman produces large, pendulous deep-red fruits with very mild to zero heat. Grown primarily for the stunning deep-red colour and mild paprika flavour it imparts to Pakistani tandoori, biryani, and curry dishes. The drying variety of Kashmiri Mirch.
