Water Cress ( Nasturtium ) Seeds

Watercress (Nasturtium officinale) seeds are very small, dark brown to black, and round, about 1 mm in diameter. To cultivate watercress, sow the seeds directly on the soil surface or a floating medium in hydroponic systems after the last frost, ensuring they remain exposed to light for germination, which takes 5-15 days. The plant thrives in cool temperatures between 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F) and requires continuous moisture, making it ideal for growth near streams, in consistently wet soil, or hydroponic systems.
