How To Grow

Direct sow Violet-Seeded Early Broad Beans 2 inches deep in cool fertile soil. Germination in 7—14 days at 5—15°C. Space 6–8 inches apart. Violet-Seeded Early produces pods identical to White-Seeded, but the mature dried beans are striking violet-purple — visually beautiful and nutritionally identical. Fresh young beans have the same creamy sweet flavour. An early-maturing variety that produces the first harvest slightly ahead of standard broad beans.
