How To Grow

Sow Lavatera (Tree Mallow) seeds directly in well-prepared, well-drained soil where they will grow — Lavatera dislikes transplanting. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep and 4 inches apart. Keep moist at 18–22°C for 14–21 days until germination. Thin seedlings to 18–24 inches apart once established. Plants form bushy, branched mounds covered in hibiscus-like satiny pink, white, or rose blooms throughout the cool season.
