How To Grow

Sow Potimarron seeds 1 inch deep directly in warm fertile soil or start indoors 3–4 weeks before transplanting. Germination in 7—14 days at 22–28°C. Space 3–4 feet apart. Potimarron (Red Kuri) produces small teardrop-shaped pumpkins of 1–2 kg with deep red-orange skin and dense, dry, chestnut-flavoured flesh. A French gourmet classic and a favourite of top chefs worldwide. The skin is completely edible — roast or steam without peeling.
