Single Portulaca Flower Mixed Seeds

Single Portulaca Flower Mixed Seeds

Grow Single Portulaca Flower Mixed — vibrant open five-petaled blooms with prominent golden stamens in a dazzling mix of red, pink, yellow, white, orange, and magenta. Single-flowered types self-seed more readily than doubles and are more attractive to bees. A drought-tolerant succulent annual that thrives in Pakistan’s hottest spots: rooftops, rocky slopes, and sandy soils where other flowers fail.

How To Grow

Surface sow Single Portulaca seeds on moist, well-drained sandy or gritty potting mix — do NOT cover, light is required for germination. Mist gently to keep surface moist. Germinate at 22–28°C in 7–14 days. Transplant when seedlings have 3–4 true leaves, spacing 8–10 inches apart. Single Portulaca produces open, five-petaled flowers with prominent golden stamens in vivid shades of red, pink, yellow, white, orange, and magenta — more open than doubles and loved by bees. Flowers open in full sun and close at night or on cloudy days.
