How To Grow

Strawberry seeds require chilling to break dormancy. Refrigerate seeds in a damp tissue for 2–4 weeks before sowing, or sow on the surface of moist potting mix and place in a refrigerator for 3–4 weeks before bringing to 15–22°C. Do not cover seeds with soil — light is needed for germination. Germination in 14–28 days. Transplant to individual pots when large enough to handle. Best suited to Pakistan’s northern hills (Murree, Swat, Chitral, Hunza) where cool spring temperatures allow fruiting.
