How To Grow

Sow Cactus Desert Mix seeds on the surface of a well-drained cactus mix (coarse sand + perlite + loam, 2:1:1) in shallow trays. Surface sow and barely cover with a thin layer of fine sand — 1/8 inch maximum. Maintain at 25–30°C with bright indirect light. Germination is slow and erratic: some species sprout in 2 weeks, others take 2–3 months. Cover trays with plastic to maintain humidity. Once seedlings appear, remove cover gradually and grow in bright light. Pot individually when seedlings reach the size of a marble.
