Crush seeds lightly before sowing for faster and better germination. Sow successively every 2–3 weeks — a single sowing bolts quickly in warm weather. Do NOT transplant seedlings — they bolt immediately when roots are disturbed.

How To Grow

Crush coriander seeds lightly before sowing to break them into two halves — each half is one seed. Direct sow 1/4 inch deep in cool, moist, well-drained soil in rows 12 inches apart. Germination in 7–14 days at 15–25°C. Sow successionally every 2–3 weeks for continuous leaf harvest. Do NOT transplant — coriander dislikes root disturbance and bolts immediately. Harvest outer leaves regularly. For seed (dhania spice) harvest: allow plants to flower and set seed, then harvest when seed heads turn brown.
