How To Grow

Sow Kheera seeds 1/2 inch deep in moist soil. Direct sow in warm ground or start indoors 3–4 weeks before transplanting. Germination in 5–10 days at 25–30°C. Cucumber is a vigorous vining plant — provide a strong trellis, fence, or bamboo frame for the vines to climb. Space 18–24 inches apart. Fruits develop quickly and must be harvested every 2–3 days to keep the plant producing. Pick while dark green and firm — yellowing cucumbers are overripe.
