How To Grow

Sow Cornichon de Paris seeds 1/2 inch deep in warm soil or start indoors 3–4 weeks before transplanting. Germination in 5—10 days at 25–30°C. Train on a trellis, spacing 12–18 inches apart. Cornichon de Paris is the authentic French pickling gherkin — small, knobby, thin-skinned fruits of 5–8 cm picked while very small for traditional French cornichon pickles. An incredibly prolific producer that must be harvested daily at the correct size. Miss a day and they outgrow the pickling window.
