How To Grow

Sow Rio Grande Tomato seeds 1/4 inch deep in moist seed-starting mix. Keep at 22–28°C for 7–14 days until germination. Transplant when seedlings have 4–6 true leaves, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Rio Grande is a determinate paste variety with thick walls, meaty flesh, very few seeds, and low moisture content — ideal for making tomato paste, sauce, puree, and sun-drying. Concentrated all-at-once harvest makes it perfect for batch processing.
