How To Grow

Soak Beetroot Redondo Rojo seeds in warm water for 12 hours before sowing to speed germination. Sow 1/2 inch deep directly in fertile, well-drained soil. Germination in 7—14 days at 10–20°C. Thin to 3–4 inches apart when seedlings reach 2 inches tall. Redondo Rojo is the classic round desi-style red beetroot with deep crimson flesh. Harvest when roots reach 5–7 cm diameter for best tenderness. Roots are edible raw in salads or boiled/roasted. Young leaves are also edible as greens.
