Sweet Pepper ‘Dulce De Italiano’ Seeds – Italian Froretti

Grow Sweet Pepper Dulce De Italiano (Froretti) — the classic Italian sweet frying pepper, producing long, thin-walled, mild green to red fruits in abundance. Prolific and quick to crop, harvested green for pan-frying or left to ripen red for a sweeter flavour. The authentic Italian summer vegetable — blistered in hot oil with sea salt and served alongside grilled meats. Extremely productive for Pakistani summer gardens.

How To Grow

Sow Dulce De Italiano Froretti seeds 1/4 inch deep in moist seed-starting mix. Keep at 25–30°C for 10–21 days. Start indoors 8–10 weeks before transplanting. Transplant when seedlings have 5–7 true leaves and nights are above 15°C, spacing 18–24 inches. Italian Froretti are long, thin-walled sweet frying peppers (also called friggitelli) — harvested green and eaten fresh or pan-fried in olive oil. Prolific, continuous croppers that ripen from green through yellow to red. Much earlier and quicker to produce than thick-walled bell peppers.
