Pampas grass takes 2–3 years to produce plumes from seed. The blue-silver colouring is most vivid in cooler autumn temperatures and catches light beautifully at dusk — position where the low sun will backlight the plumes.

Blue Pampas Grass Seeds – Majestic Ornamental Plume Grass

Grow Blue Pampas Grass Seeds — one of the most distinctive ornamental grasses, producing tall silvery-blue plumes that glow in low evening light. A rare and dramatic statement plant for Pakistani landscape gardens, rooftop terraces, and courtyard focal points. Drought tolerant, perennial, and virtually maintenance-free once established. The unique blue-silver colouring makes it the most photographed pampas variety in modern garden design.

How To Grow

Surface sow Blue Pampas Grass seeds on moist, well-drained seed-starting mix — do NOT cover, light is required for germination. Mist gently and keep at 20–25°C for 2–4 weeks until germination. Transplant seedlings when they reach 4–6 inches tall, spacing 3–5 feet apart at final planting. Blue Pampas produces distinctive silvery-blue tinted plumes that catch the light uniquely at dusk and dawn — a rare and sought-after colour in ornamental grasses. Fully established plants produce plumes in year 2–3.
