Add bold red colour and architectural form to your garden with Red Wave Hybrid Sunflower Seeds (Helianthus annuus). Unlike single-stem cut-flower types, Red Wave is a branching hybrid that produces multiple striking red blooms per plant on compact 3–4 ft stems. Perfect for hedges, mass plantings, bouquets, and continuous cut-flower harvest.
Why You'll Love Red Wave
- Bold red petals with a contrasting dark face
- Branching habit — multiple flowers per plant, not just one
- Compact 3–4 ft (90–120 cm) height — fits smaller gardens and pots
- Early maturing for a long flowering season
- Excellent cut flower with strong stems and long vase life
- Attracts bees, butterflies, and pollinators
- Beautiful as a flowering hedge or back-of-border accent
- F1 hybrid — vigorous, uniform, and reliable
Growing in Pakistan
Red Wave is a warm-season annual that grows well across Pakistan with succession planting. Sow February to April in plain regions (Punjab, Sindh) for spring-to-summer blooms, and September to October for autumn flowers. In cooler northern hill areas, sow April to June for summer flowering. Direct-sow seeds 1/2 inch deep in well-drained, sunny soil. Space plants 30–45 cm apart — branching types need more room than single-stem cut-flower varieties. Germination takes 7–10 days at 20–25°C. Water consistently and harvest stems regularly to encourage continued blooming.
