How To Grow

Sow Beefsteak Tomato seeds 1/4 inch deep in moist seed-starting mix. Keep at 22–28°C for 7–14 days until germination. Transplant when seedlings have 4–6 true leaves and nights are reliably above 15°C, spacing 24–30 inches apart. Provide a very sturdy stake or cage at planting — Beefsteak is a large indeterminate vine with heavy fruits. Pinch suckers regularly for best fruit size. Each fruit can reach 200–500g, meaty with few seeds — the classic sandwich tomato.
