How To Grow

Direct sow Spinach (Palak) seeds 1/2 inch deep in fertile, well-drained soil. Germination in 7—14 days at 10—20°C. Thin to 4–6 inches apart. Harvest outer leaves regularly from 3–5 weeks onwards for a continuous supply. Spinach bolts rapidly above 25°C — sow successively every 2–3 weeks throughout the cool season for a constant supply of fresh palak. Pakistan’s most important winter leafy green.
